The city of Málaga contains 100 municipalities. Aside from the capital, its main towns are Marbella, Vélez-Málaga, Antequera and Ronda.
Málaga’s population focused primarily in the metropolitan region of Málaga and all over the coastal region. The population density excels both the Andalusiaand Spanish averages, reaching up to nearly 204.06 hab/Km2. The city of Antequera and Ronda, both with over 35,000 inhabitants, are situated in the interior.
The town's places of high interest are far too many to identify, however, here are a few of the countless locations that one can take a gander at, especially for those who are often “game” not only for a fun-filled adventure, but also for nature hiking, a touch of history as their bonus:
As a homage to the great artist, Picasso, other great monuments of historical backgrounds are the imposing Baroque Cathedral, famously referred to as “La Manquitta” (One Armed Woman), describing its somewhat crooked appearance which was caused by its missing east bell tower. Above the town of the Málaga is the “Parador” (state run hotel) which is of great historical importance. Once a Moorish castle, it is a magnificent place to either stay overnight or have long lunch enjoying these wealthy surroundings, with picturesque views over Málaga city and out across the port to sea.
Despite that there was a lot of destruction in the city of Málaga, most especially throughout the course of Spanish CIvil Warm there is still a lot of proof that the Moorish inhabited Málaga. Today, tourists can visit the Moorish Alcazaba fortress, dating back to 1065, which additionally now features an extremely fascinating archeological museum.
Additionally, there are a lot of churches in and around the center, which are of great architectural and historic attraction, which are worth visiting.
